I tried upgrading from Yoast 3.9 to 4.0 and the installation failed. I was getting 500 errors until I FTP’d in and had to delete the Yoast plugin.
My site was working once again, and I tried installing Yoast 4.0 from scratch. It also failed and my site began returning 500 errors. I deleted the plugin via FTP and the site came back.
What is causing Yoast version 4.0 to break the site? I have never had any problems upgrading Yoast before.
Thanks.
