No more problem with titles too long? (Post editor, Snippet preview)

Howdy!

Until like ten days ago, in the wordpress post editor, in the Snippet Preview part, when I would have a too long title, Yoast SEO would colorize in orange the line below the “SEO Title” field, to encourage me to shorten it.

Now, I can have it however long I want, even three lines long instead of one (“142 chars? Sure!”), it’s still a green line.

Have the SEO rules changed and long titles are now cool with Google, something that Yoast SEO decided to reflect?!?
Or might this be a bug within the Yoast SEO plugin and I’m the only one with the problem?

My context: latest wordpress and free Yoast SEO here, upon a recent Canvas theme.
