“Non-existent changeset UUID.” error

I just upgraded a multisite (folder) installation of WordPress from 4.0.16 to 4.7.3. I’m using the Minamaze theme and 8 plugins, none of which is related to caching.

I’m left with one error after the upgrade. When I click on Appearance | Customize for the main site, I see a preview of the site in the right-hand pane. When I do the same thing for the secondary site configured as a folder, I see the following error in the right-hand pane: Non-existent changeset UUID. Thus, I can’t preview the secondary site.

I checked the two wp-options tables with phpMyAdmin and the siteurl field is identical to the home field; neither contains “www”.

I’ve looked on the web and in this forum for an answer, without success.

Can this error be avoided?

TIA and regards, Andy
