Articles Shared in Facebook Not Returning Correct OG Info

Hello, I’m looking for help in an issue that I’ve been trying to fix for a good while now.

When I attempt to share an article on my Facebook page, it’s not displaying the open graph data. Initially, I’ll get a link to the homepage of my site and when I use Facebook debugger, I’ll get the following message:

Could Not Follow Redirect: URL requested a HTTP redirect, but it could not be followed.

I’m using Yoast SEO and have not created a redirect on my own.

After refreshing a couple of times, the articles will finally appear, but without the image with the following message:

More than one OG URL Specified: Object at URL ‘http://www.brosandgents.com/lifestyle/food/great-pizza-debate-chicago-vs-new-york/’ of type ‘article’ is invalid because it specifies multiple ‘og:url’ values: http://www.brosandgents.com/lifestyle/food/great-pizza-debate-chicago-vs-new-york/, http://www.brosandgents.com/lifestyle/food/great-pizza-debate-chicago-vs-new-york/.

I’m also getting a message that the og:type is required by not present when I look in the Open Graph Object Debugger.

However, looking at the source code, it’s definitely there as I see this:

<link rel=”canonical” href=”http://www.brosandgents.com/entertainment/tv/path-season-2-goes-weird-building-season-finale/” />
<meta property=”og:locale” content=”en_US” />
<meta property=”og:type” content=”article” />
<meta property=”og:title” content=”The Path Season 2 Goes Weird, Building Up to Season Finale | BrosandGents.com” />
<meta property=”og:description” content=”When The Path first premiered on Hulu in January 2016, it made big news as the streaming service was finally putting forth a series that many considered to be decent competition to what was being built over a Netflix. Their trailers built up what looked to be a suspenseful look at what being in a …” />
<meta property=”og:url” content=”http://www.brosandgents.com/entertainment/tv/path-season-2-goes-weird-building-season-finale/” />
<meta property=”og:site_name” content=”BrosandGents.com” />
<meta property=”article:publisher” content=”https://www.facebook.com/brosandgents/” />
<meta property=”article:section” content=”TV” />
<meta property=”article:published_time” content=”2017-04-10T12:01:23-07:00″ />
<meta property=”article:modified_time” content=”2017-04-10T00:01:59-07:00″ />

<meta property=”og:image:width” content=”525″ />
<meta property=”og:image:height” content=”350″ />

I’m wondering what could be causing this especially since I’ve tried almost everything I could think of, including clearing the cache. Checking for updates in any plugins that would affect the OG data, etc. Not to mention, even old articles which were shared previously without issue are having the problem now as well.

A. I’d really prefer to not have to constantly go through Facebook Debugger to be able to get each article displaying properly when shared on the platform for every single article that’s being written.

B. I still can’t figure out why the images aren’t displaying.

C. Whatever is happening is now affecting old articles

I hope I’ve provided enough information. This has really been a pain in my butt so any help would be greatly appreciated.
